2 girls injured in poll related incident, 1 critical

Imphal, April 12 2019:
2 teenage girls were injured in poll related violence at Khangabok Mayai Leikai of Khangabok Assembly Constituency near polling station No.35/5 yesterday evening.
Report said that the incident took place in front of a Congress party office area and the perpetrators are suspected to be workers of the BJP.
One among the 2 girls sustained head injury and is reported to be critical.
She is presently undergoing treatment at Shija Hospital.
The injured are identified as Kh.Puspa (18) daughter of Kunjeswor and Moirangthem Lembi Devi(19) daughter of (L) M.Pakasa.Puspa sustained serious injury on her head.
Both were taken to District hospital Thoubal soon after the incident.
Puspa was later referred to Shija hospital after her condition deteriorated.
Lembi was however out of danger and discharged.
Local MLA O.Surajkumar visited the injured girls at the hospital.
A case was filed to the police.
Relatives of the two girls said that the incident happened at around 4:30 pm yesterday and identified the perpetrators as a group of people led by BJP worker L.Sudesh Singh son of L.Kulabidhu of Meisnam leikai .
