Imphal, June 10 2013:
Manipur People's Party (MPP) has said that the State Government must find a way out to implement Inner Line Permit System (INPS) in Manipur.
In a press statement, MPP said that the cause for the protection of indigenous people is generally led by political leaders in States like Maharashtra, Punjab and Tamil Nadu.
However in Manipur, MPP said, State Chief Minister O Ibobi has appealed the people of the State to press the Centre together on ILPS demand.
Such is an attempt to shoulder the responsibility of the Government to the people, the regional political party pointed out.
MPP also alleged that there is no instance of having serious deliberation on the issue with Union Home Minister and Prime Minister.
Meanwhile, Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist), Manipur State Council has said that the ongoing agitation demanding ILPS implementation is not anti-social under Article 19 Clause 5 and Sub Clauses D and E .
The State Government must resign if they are unable to pressurise the Centre regarding the matter.
