Governor, CM greet on Mahavir Jayanti, Good Friday and Easter

Governor of Manipur Gurbachan Jagat and Chief Minister Okram Ibobi have greeted the people of the State on the occasions of Mahavir Jayanti, Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
'While celebrating the birth of Lord Mahavir, we should pledge to follow the spiritual and ethical precepts which are an essential feature of the festival,' the Governor said in his message while also calling the people to dedicate themselves to the ideals, principles, and eternal values espoused by Him for a meaningful Mahavir Jayanti celebration.
Greeting the people, Chief Minister O Ibobi called on all concerned to imbibe Bhagwan Mahavir's teachings for promoting peace and enduring happiness of humanity.
Meanwhile, greeting the people especially the Christians on the occasion of Good Friday, Governor Gurbachan Jagat urged all to rededicate themselves to the noble ideals of peace, harmony and brotherhood amongst different sections of the society.
The Governor also wished the people of the State a happy Easter.
'The Celebration of Good Friday and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday symbolises the victory of good over evil, hatred and cruelty,' CM O Ibobi said in his message.
The CM called for rededication of oneself to the noble ideas of love, peace and forgiveness; and strengthen the bonds of friendship, brotherhood and unity amongst the different groups of people in the State.
