BJP takes Mission 2014 to North East

After Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has been anointed as the PM candidate for BJP, the party leaders are focused on achieving Mission 272 plus.
Keeping the importance of prestigious 25 Lok Sabha seats from the North Eastern region including Sikkim, a two day meet on BJP North East Mission 2014 was held on September 18 and 19 at Hotel Rajmahal in Guwahati.
The meeting was attended by Rajnath Singh, BJP National President; Ram Lalji, National General Secretary (Organisation), SS Aluhwalia, National Vice President and Chairman of Election Campaign Committee, North East BJP, Tapir Gao, National General Secretary, PB Acharya, Senior National leader; Nalin Kohli, BJP think tank and Chandrasekhar Rao, National Convenor of Security Cell, BJP.
Manipur delegates led by Th Chaoba, (Former Union Minister) State President, M Asnikumar Singh, State General Secretary (Administration/Media Affairs) Premananda Sharma, State General Secretary (Organization), Kh.
Bhabananda Singh, State General Secretary (Election Affairs &Morchas) Prof Gangmumei Kamei, Co-Chairman, State Core Committee Dr RK Ranjan Singh, Co-Chairman, State Vision Document Yanglet Haokip, Member of State Core Committee & Spokesperson Chidananda Singh, National Executive Member, BJYM and Loli Adani, Ex Lok Sabha candidate of BJP attended the meet.
The report presented in the Meeting by State General Secretary (Administration & Media Affairs), M Asnikumar Singh, BJP, Manipur Pradesh was appreciated by the National leaders for successfully incorporating an in-depth analysis of issues and vision documents of the party and status quo of the party organisation and political developments as well as administrative reports of BJP Manipur Pradesh since January 2013 till date.
National delegates have also invited the State BJP delegates for a closed door meeting from 5 to 6 pm to discuss inclusively the prevailing political scenario within the State and also the Socio-Economic crisis in the region particularly in the State of Manipur.
Important issues were discussed to be included in the BJP National Agenda for Election 2014, keeping in mind the problems and prospects of North East region.
Inclusive development of the region through Trans Super Highway, connecting all North East States, with special preference on Moreh in Manipur in sync with the existing Look East Policy should be given priority.
Burning issues like the Indo-Myanmar border fencing was considered and re-demarcation of the boundary was seriously taken by national leaders and suggestion for good bilateral relationship between Myanmar and India was considered as important step towards bringing amicable solution on border disputes, conveyed a press statement.
There must be North East integrated planning in the National agenda of BJP where conservation of bio-diversity and eco-system must be given priorities, with special reference to Loktak Lake which is the only freshwater Lake in eastern India as well as in South East Asia.
Keibul Lamjao National Park (Floating National Park of 42 Sq/Kms), which is the only natural habitat of Sangai (brow antlered deer), unique deer in the world, must also be preserved in the line of the National Tiger Conservation Project, demanded the State BJP delegates.
The agro/horticulture based industry must be promoted in the region to provide employment opportunities in the region.
Human Resource Development (HRD) through proper education facility must be established with modern facilities in the region and upliftment of the socio-economic condition of the different indigenous people living in the North East region must be included in the national agenda of the party so that the socio-economic condition of the North Eastern Region would be improved certainly.
Under the HRD Sector, promotion of youth's activities through Sports, Arts, Culture and Handicrafts must be given priority through proper policies in the National Agenda of our Party.
Over and above while, any kind of activities and policies made on North East Region must protect the indigenous and traditional rights of the people.
All the above agendas were discussed at length along with the national leaders and most of these shall be reflected in the national manifesto& vision document of BJP as assured by Rajnath Singh.
Rajnath Singh had a meeting with Chaoba Singh and M Asnikumar Singh on present political scenario of the State and noted that Manipur BJP has a lot of prospective candidates for Lok Sabha Election in 2014 .
