The Kabui Samiti, Manipur has said that people of Kabui community would remain as Manipuris no matter whether they face hardships or enjoy the benefits of the State.
In a press release, the Samiti said that Kabui people have been residing in Manipur valley since past many centuries.
Maintaining that Kabui people are settled in Manipur, the Samiti said, as such, there is no point for the Kabuis to get involved in solving the vexed Naga issue.
The Samiti also clarified that no prior information was given to the people of Kabui community residing in Manipur valley regarding the meeting held at the office of Zeliangrong Union (Assam, Manipur, Nagaland) on January 11 .
Expressing suspicion that the meeting on Naga issue was seemingly a test on the stand of Kabui people, the press release urged the people to be wary about such developments.
