Imphal, August 18 2011:
The Maring Students' Union (MSU) has decried the allegations levelled by the Pallel and Komlathabi Area Tribal Students' Union with regard to examination centres in Pallel area.
The allegation made by the union as reported in media was totally baseless and was done in vested interest.
Saying that the examination was conducted fairly and smoothly, the MSU sought clarification and cautioned not give any comment or suggestion without its consent with regard to MG Evergreen examination centre by any organisation or individuals.
The NSUC has expelled the Pallel and Komlathabi Area Tribal Students' Union so they have no authority to create unwanted commotion through press statements, said MSU in a press release.
Meanwhile, the Pallel Private Centre Committee clarified that HSLC examinations in Pallel private centre were conducted smoothly in the presence and supervision of committee members, student organisations and security personnel.
The committee remarked that the press statement of Pallel and Komlathabi Area Tribal Students' Union was highly deplorable and misleading.
On the other hand, the Maring Students' Union has flayed the conduct of ZEO Chandel with regard to distribution of school bags and mid-day meal under SSA scheme.
In Maring area, only 3-5 school bags were distributed in schools where there were 70 to 80 students and one quintal of rice each for mid-day meal per school for three months.
The student body further accused the ZEO of staying away from his office since January this year.
