Imphal, August 18 2011:
Situation in Manipur has come to such a stage where politics has been turned into a highly profitable business by certain politicians of the state.
This was disclosed by Dr M Nara, secretary, CPI, Manipur State Council at a function held at the residence of RK Amusana, intending CPI candidate of Khurai a/c in the forthcoming general election.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr M Nara said that people have lost their faith in the politicians of the state.
A number of so called social workers have come up for contesting in elections.
They intend to spare none and do whatever is needed just to win elections.
If this trend continues than the fate of the state is at stake.
This trend has come into surface as a result of the mis-governance.
If the people of the state favours the party and elects around 12 to 15 candidates than the party can changed the whole scenario for the batter, he said.
The function was attended by MLA Mangi, L Sotinkumar, executive member, CPI, Th Yaiskul, secretary, CPI Imphal East district and other dignitaries.
