NPLFM lashes out at Chief Minister

The Naga Political Leaders Forum Manipur (NPLFM) has demanded the resignation of "incompetent" Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh for "mis-governance and misleading" the Assembly on various issues.
According to the Forum, due to O Ibobi Singh's misrule, chaos and disturbances have become routine affairs.
Law and order front has totally collapsed, the Forum alleged.
Hatred and communal problems among different communities have cropped up because of the Chief Minister's inefficiency, the Naga Political Leaders Forum Manipur also said.
"Forget about development, killings, cases of rape, robberies and other criminal activities are rampant in the State today," added the Forum.
It then said that not only innocent citizens but even the security force personnel do not feel secure under Ibobi Singh's Government.
"He has failed everything and his Council of Ministers including his Deputy CM has become professional liars.
The sanctity of Manipur Legislative Assembly has been reduced to a farce," accused the Forum.
According to the Forum, there have been "full of lies" and procedural lapses in speeches of the Chief Minister and his Council of Ministers in every Manipur Assembly sessions during Ibobi's rule.
The recent session also witnessed how Gaikhngam, Deputy Chief Minister misled the house in the matter of NSF and Manipur police commando tussle, it also stated.
"He announced on the floor of the House that the 5 Manipur police commando personnel did not use harsh words or ill treated the NSF delegation on February 14, 2016 at Mantripukhri in Imphal.
If those 5 commando personnel were not guilty then why they were put under suspension? If suspended because of their misconduct, then why revoked within 3 days without completing necessary/formal enquiry or investigation?," the Forum asked.
"The whole world knows the corrupt, communal and indisciplined Manipur police commandos who are very famous in fake encounter but Ibobi's Home Minister was defending those rogue commando personnel.
A Government established under constitution and law of the land should act with accountability but Manipur State Government under O Ibobi Singh does not know head and tail of administration and public order.
In fact, the present Ibobi Singh led Manipur Government is run by outlawed outfits/organisations is loud and clear as O Ibobi Singh himself has categorically stated that passing of 3 'anti tribal Bills' was due to pressures of CorCom (a conglomerate of valley based underground organizations)," alleged the NPLFM.
The NPLFM then said that the recent episodes of banning vehicles by NSF and then counter banned by some valley based organisations which had created misunderstanding and havoc could have been avoided had the Manipur Government known the ethics of governance and hold talk with the NSF team who came to submit memorandum on February 16."The flare up of communal issue among the different communities of this region was created and sown by Ibobi Singh led Manipur Government," it stated.
The NPLFM reiterated its demand for the resignation of "incompetent" O Ibobi Singh "or the Centre should intervene and invoke Article 356 before things go out of hand" .
