Imphal, March 03 2016:
Employees of Imphal Post Office headquarters today staged a protest demanding removal of the Postal Service Director Vinod Kumar.
The employees staged the protest when Vinod Kumar was in his office at around 5 pm.
However, a police team led by DIG IK Muivah and Imphal West SP Dr AK Jhalajit rushed to the head post office complex and brought the situation under control.
The employees alleged that the Director scolded them using abusive language most of the time.
They said that the Director addressed them as '5th standard people' .
Without any reason, he often asked the employees to stay till late night, they said.
They further said that the Director crossed the limit of 'atrocity' today.
He met a lady staff who was waiting for auto rickshaw at Jiri parking at around 8.30 am.
The Director suddenly approached the lady and queried what she was doing there.
The lady told the Director that she was waiting for an auto rickshaw to go to the office.
The Director then allegedly shouted at the lady why she was late in full public view.
The lady somehow managed to escape from the scene by hiring a private auto to escape further humiliation, the employees said.
