InSIDE NE donates oxygen concentrators

A non-profit organization from Saikul in Kangpokpi District, the InSIDE North East has donated ten oxygen concentrators to various health centres in Kangpokpi District today through the District Administration Kangpokpi.
The handing over of the oxygen concentrators was held this afternoon at DC Office Kangpokpi while DC Kangpokpi, Somorjit Salam, IAS handed over the donated concentrators to District Hospital Kangpokpi, CHC Saikul, Kangpokpi Christian Hospital, and Covid Care Centre Leikop during the programme.
The handing over ceremony was also attended by CMO Kangpokpi, Dr Aneng Haokip, Director, InSIDE NE, Hejang Misao, and other officials from the District Administration and medical officers from the Medical Department.
Speaking on the occasion, Somorjit Salam thanked Umeed Project and Crypto Relief India, based at the national capital Delhi for contributing the life-saving equipment with the help and coordination of the InSIDE North East.
He said that the district has been facing a shortage of human resources along with life-saving equipment like oxygen concentrators and oxygen cylinders.
He further mentioned that the Umeed Project and Crypto Relief India have also assured to provide more equipment including one generator each in the seven health centres of Kangpokpi district.
Meanwhile, Hejang Misao, Director, InSIDE North East said, "when the people around us are suffering and lots of people are dying owing to the pandemic, InSIDE NE cannot remain silent".
He continued that with the help of Umeed Project and Crypto Relief India, various medical kits could be provided to vulnerable families apart from oxygen concentrators to various health centres through DC Kangpokpi.
