Zeliangrong Students' Union Manipur (ZSUM) has claimed to have unearthed various substandard Govt construction works during their visit at different Zeliangrong inhabited areas.
ZSUM said that the construction of Old Cachar road/Tongjei Maril between Leimatak bridge and Luwanglon Khullen has not been done well.
It further claimed that Rs 2.70 crore has been withdrawn by the concerned work agency without even completing 20 percent of the construction of Gaidimjang (I) to Khoupum (II) under PMGSY 2009-2010 .
Fund for the construction of inspection bungalow at Gaidimjang, Khoupum valley under SPA has been withdrawn without the completion of the work.
Moreover, it added, Zoujantek to Tubung cemetery portion with culvert is left in lurch after the withdrawal of fund.
The union added that the Nungba guest house is also sub-standard.
Staff of electricity department, BDO office, Higher Secondary School and High School never attend their respective offices since last two decades in Khoupum area.
The union warned that it would not remain silent if the State Government fails to take up action against all these irregularities.
