13 positive to touch 2 digit mark this month

The State's COVID-19 active cases has risen to 44 after 13 persons including three personnel of CAPF were tested positive for the virus at Imphal West RAT, RIMS, JNIMS, Shija Hospital and Raj Medicity during the last 24 years.
The total number of active cases till yesterday was 33 which means the figure has surged by 11 .
This is the first time in March for the number of infection to touch the two figure mark here in Manipur.
According to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, the 10 civilians who have been tested positive are residents of Imphal East (1), Imphal West (4), Thoubal (1), Bishnupur (1), Kakching (1), Senapati (1) and Ukhrul (1) .
On the other hand, two COVID-19 positive persons were discharged from home isolation and JNIMS during the last 24 hours.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,352 (general population 25,910 and Central security personnel 3,442).It includes 44 active cases (general population 35 and Central security personnel 9) and 28,935 recovered cases (general population 25,506 and Central security personnel 3,429) .
With no report of COVID related death during the last 24 hours, the death toll remains unchanged at 373 while the recovery rate as on Tuesday is 98.57 per cent.
Meanwhile, the total number of people who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the State has reached 82,036 including 739 inoculated yesterday.
