11th AMFA Sr Women's League : MPSC, ICSA post contrasting wins

MPSC bounced back with a 5-1 thrashing of WFA Kakching as ICSA, Irengbam sealed a narrow 1-0 win over AMMA FC, Andro in the ongoing 11th AMFA Sr Women's Football League for BM Singh Trophy.
Having played out a 1-1 draw in the previous game with MPSC, ICSA were able to earn full points today as AMMA drew blank despite their chances at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong.
It was L Bijeiya goal in the 28th minute that separated the two sides and handed ICSA the win.
Later in the day, L Sanathoi wreaked havoc across the defence line of WFA, Kakching to pump in three goals alone and earn MPSC a comfortable 5-1 win.
MPSC dominated the game right from the word go and were 3-0 ahead till the break.
L Sanathoi was able to break the deadlock early in the 6th minute before W Kanchan made her way for the team's second in the 16th minute.
After 31 minutes, L Sanathoi grabbed her second and the team's third before W Kanchan completed her double in the 42nd minute.
M Ambika helped WFA pull back a goal in the 50th minute but it proved to be their last as L Sanathoi found her third in the 74th minute and completed the 5-1 demolition.
YWC will play ESU Wangkhei in a clash for pole position on March 25 at 8 am before ICSA play WFA at 2.15 pm at the same venue.
