Manipur emerge overall team champions of 64th National School Games in Vovinam

Imphal, December 31 2018: State vovinam team emerged overall champions of the 64th National School Games in Vovinam (U-19) organised under the aegis of National School Games Federation of India in Madhya Pradesh.

Manipur bagged a total of 16 medals including 8 gold, 1 silver and 7 bronze medals to claim the overall champions title of the competition.

Y Ranjan (55 kg-Boys), Lanchenbi (60 kg - Girls), Ch Shaolin (40 kg), Niruta Thoudam (44 kg), Ng Ranjita (52 kg), S Neha Chanu (56 kg), S Brison (45 kg) and T Suranjoy (U-60 kg) bagged gold medals for Manipur while the lone silver medal of was fetch by W Bidyarani claimed a silver medal in the 52 kg event.

L Thangal (75 kg), W Bimal (70 kg), Semichon Jingkhai (36 kg), V Aboini Pao (65 kg), Md Anal Haque (35 kg), S Suresh (50 kg) and Ch Elizabeth Chiru (48 kg) were able to add bronze medals in Manipur's Tally.
