Imphal, February 12 2024: SHADOW-Thangmeiband eased to third straight Group A victory with a 109 run thrashing of NCA-Nambol today at Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak.

NCA chose to field first after winning the toss and bundled out SHADOW for 185 runs in 24.3 overs thanks to Ahenba Longjam (3/23 in 3.3 overs), Thiyam Bikash (2/33) and S Punsiba (2/26) .

But their efforts went in vain as SHADOW bowlers Laishram Bidyasagar (2/13), Kh Bidyananda (2/10) and Sagatpam Telheiba (2/19) kept things tight and dismissed NCA for 76 runs in 15.2 overs.

For SHADOW, Sagatpam Telheiba 37, Sonu Kumar 22 and Yohenba 14 were the main run getters in their innings which saw NCA conceding 73 extras including 55 wides.

For NCA Ahenba Longjam was the highest run getter with 20 runs.

SCCC-Singjamei Thongam Leikai in the meantime earned their first Group B win in two matches by beating YPHUC by 6 wickets at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.

Toss winners, YPHUC piled up a modest total of 180 runs losing all the wickets in 27.1 overs despite Irom Ishor's valiant 42 as Moirangthem Johnson (3/34), Ranjan (2/26) and Tomthinganba (2/29) struck regularly.

In reply, Tomthinganba 68 and Ranjan Moirengjam 43 then guided SCCC to 181/4 in 28 overs.

In the Group C match staged at THAU Ground, SSC-Porompat sealed an 8-wicket win over CYSA-Khangabok thanks to the bowling department led by Anish Lasker (4/13) .

SSC skipper Sadique (2/11) and Nadir (2/11) were among wicket takers as they bowled out toss winners CYSA for 52 runs in 13.4 overs before they reached the target in 16.5 overs courtesy of Ajman 24 .

At PTRC ground, KASC-Khomidok thumped SU-Sagolband by 48 runs in a Group D fixture courtesy Md Abdulgani's 73-ball 44 and Mehetab's four wicket haul (4/32) for the third straight victory.
