Stage set for quarter finals of Chandel Second Division Football Tournament

The quarter final line up of the DC Chandel Trophy Second Division Football Tournament was completed today.
Chandel Police FC went down by 1-3 goals to Riindamkhuw SC in the top of the table contest this morning at Liwa Sarei Ground and both teams qualified for the quarter-finals with Chandel Police FC as Pool A leaders despite the loss.
Th Kamshul hit the opener for the winning side after 20 minutes before Th Thingsheng scored twice in succession (39', 74') to make it 3-0 .
R Mitchel scored the consolation goal for the Chandel Police FC in the 78th minute.

In another Group A match, Koltal Khuntak SC pulled off a 10-2 win over Soltang FC to finish third in the table.
Ashok starred with a double hattrick (16', 23', 28', 37', 75', 85') in this match as Shelstone scored thrice (26', 47', 38') after Angdun opened the floodgate in the 10th minute.
Bungdon (33') and Kanhoi (57') were on target for Soltang FC.
Meanwhile Chandel Christian YC emerged Pool D toppers as they defeated Penaching YDC by 1-0 margin for the third win in four matches today at Sports Complex Chandel this morning.
The lone goal that decided the game was scored by Wng Rucho in the 71st minute.
Meanwhile, Ziontlang SYC emerged Pool C winners and advanced to the quarters as they thumped Khoriibung FC 2-0 for the third win in four matches.
Th Roungam (14') and PV Jaishu (61') were the scorers for the team in this match.
Earlier in another Group C match, Phunchung YC ended Chakpikarong YC's unbeaten run by pulling off a 3-2 win thanks to Sr Denny's first half brace (18', 25') at Sports Complex Chandel.
Lh Sutha scored the decisive goal in the 80th minute to hand Phunchung YC second win in the tournament.
Sng Angjoyla (29') and HB Kowarshing (82') scored a goal each for Chakpikarong YC who qualified for the quarter finals despite the loss.
In a dead rubber Pool B match, Western Soldong beat Morningstar YCC 2-1 courtesy goals from Apanson (56') and Rakesh (63') after Phunthahring had conceded an own goal in the 26th minute.
