Imphal, December 04 2023:
CDCC-Sagolband Salam Leikai emerged champions of the 8th MNCA Plate Tournament after registering a 5-wicket win over PSC-Thangmeiband Polem Leikai in a low scoring final today at Moijing Public Ground.
PSC had to regret their decision to bat first as they crashed out for a meagre total of 94 runs in 27.1 overs and CDCC raced to winning 97 in 21.2 overs with five wickets left to spare.
PSC never looked in contention as top orders faltered badly and wickets kept falling in regular intervals with CDCC bowlers putting in a concerted effort.
Gautam Soubam 16, Kenny Singh 16 and Ibungomacha 13 were the leading run getters for the Thangmeiband side.
