MOMA strikes it right

The Manipur Organic Mission Agency (MOMA) is catching the attention of the global audience with its display of four Geographical Indication (GI) tagged crops of Manipur at the 'AF L'Artigiano in Fiera' held at Milan, Italy from December 2 to 10 .
The AF L'Artigiano in Fiera exhibition is reportedly one of the most important worldwide events dedicated to artisanship and small businesses.
Manipur Organic Mission Agency was nominated as a member of the official delegation of the Indian Authorized Geographical Indication (GI) Producers led by India SME Forum with the approval and financial support of MSME Innovative Scheme of the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises to participate as exhibitor at the India pavilion in AF L'Artigiano in Fiera.
The official delegates of MOMA showcased four GI tagged crops of Manipur, namely, Black Aromatic Rice (Chak-hao) (GI tag no 602), Kachai Lemon (GI tag no 466), Sirarakhong Chilli (GI tag no 592) and Tamenglong Orange (GI tag no 590) at the exhibition.
The participating MOMA officials from Manipur include Honey Chara, Member Secretary MOMA and Director (Horticulture & Soil Conservation), Manipur; K Debadutta Sharma, Project Director, MOMA and Additional Director, Horticulture & Soil Conservation; Aribam Ponika Devi, Project Officer, MOMA and Deputy Director, Horticulture & Soil Conservation and Donald Soubam, Project Officer, MOMA.
Many food items made from the four GI tagged crops were exhibited at the AF L'Artigiano in Fiera, exposing them to the international market and the wider global audience.
