4th Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy : RCA ease to fourth victory as SCCC suffer fifth straight loss

RCA-Lilong carried forward their perfect unbeaten run at the ongoing 4th MNCA U-16 boys Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy registering a 108 run victory over PCC-Mayaikoibi for the fourth Group A win.
After registering third straight victories, RCA shared a point each with Model club in the previous game due to inclement weather conditions.
After winning the toss they racked up 106 runs for 5 wickets in allotted 30 overs and bowled out PCC for 98 runs in 30 overs at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.

Zunad blazed off an unbeaten 86-ball 85 for RCA as Safwan scored second highest 47 off 57 balls and Dhanish added 27 off 14 balls.
The innings saw Ajay of PCC pick two wickets for 33 runs in 6 overs as Lucky, Pravin and Rojer claimed a wicket each.
In response, PCC suffered early blows losing openers cheaply and could muster only 98 runs in 30 overs despite Ajay adding 39 off 63 balls.
Naesh of RCA returned with the best figures of 3/11 in 6 overs while Imtiyas claimed two wickets conceding 16 runs.
Zunad and Nawaz also shared a wicket each to keep PCC batters in check.
Zunad who hit a half century was adjudged man of the match.
In another Group A match staged at Khangabok Part III Public Ground, PTCC-Patsoi Part III registered a second win in fifth matches by beating TRAU by 65 runs.
N Lanleiba (33), M Polenjit (22*) and L Anao (13) contributed as PTCC gathered 112 for 6 in 25 overs (truncated ) after being put in to bat first by TRAU.
TRAU however had a dismal outing and slumped to fourth loss posting just 47 runs for 9 in 17.4 overs as Devas of PTCC enjoyed a four wicket haul (4/12 in 5 overs) and Somobanta claimed two wickets (2/4 in 2 overs) .
L Ganguly with 17 runs was the highest run getter for TRAU.
In PTCC innings, Swabhiman picked two wickets for 21 runs.
Tongbram Devas was eventually named man of the match.
Elsewhere at Dhobi Lampak, Kongba Khunou, TMCDC notched up their fourth win in 6 matches with a 7-wicket thrashing of PTRC-Patsoi Part IV.
PTRC opted to bat first but could muster only 79 runs for 6 wickets in the game that was reduced to 25-overs an innings.
Richie had the highest 29 for the team as Stoneson (13), James (12) and Robinson (10) too reached double digit figures.
Thomson of TCMDC snapped two wickets in this innings while Valindra picked one.
In reply, TCMDC eased to winning 83 for 3 wickets in 15.1 overs as Thomson scored an unbeaten 40 off 39 balls after Ngamba departed for 25 .
Thomson who produced an all round performance was adjudged man of the match.
Meanwhile at Lairenjam Public ground YPHUC-Lalambung hammered SCCC-Singjamei Thongam Leikai by 9 wickets for the second win.
The defeat was SCCC's fifth straight loss in the Group B competition.
SCCC opted to bat first but were bundled out for 46 runs within 16.10 overs as Birbal of YPHUC wreaked havoc with a six wicket haul (6/14) .
YPHUC then eased to the victory within 4 overs as SCCC bowlers conceded 27 extras, and Birbal and Sunny collected 16 runs.
Birbal was eventually adjudged man of the match.
