RCA, PTCC, TCMDC and YPHUC emerged easy winners in Thursday's fix tures of the 4th MNCA U16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy 2023 .
RCA crushed PCC by 108 runs in their contest at Luwangpokpi Cricket Stadium.
The winning side batted first and set up a total of 206 for 5 in the allotted 30 overs.
Zunad shone with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 85.He was ably supported by Safwan (47), Anush (29) and Dhanish (27) in their innings.
RCA then bowled well to stop PCC at 98/10 for their thumping win.
Naesh picked up 3 wickets, Imtiyas took 2, and Zunad and Nawaz bagged one each for the winning side.
PTCC, meanwhile, beat TRAU by 65 runs at Cherapur.
Asked to bat first, PTCC scored 112 for 6 in 25 overs with the help of N Lanleiba (33), M Polenjit (22 not out) and L Anao (13) .
They then skittled out TRAU in 17.4 for a paltry 47 on their way to a dominant victory.
Devas was the chief destroyer for PTCC with 4 scalps while Somobanta took 2, with Ch Nikhil, Karnajit and L Anao chipping in with 1 wicket each.
At Dhobi Lampak, TCMDC outplayed PTRC by 7 wickets after they restricted their opponents to 79 for 6 in 25 overs and went on to achieve target in 15.1 overs for the loss of 3 wickets.
Thomsan (40 not out), Nganba (25) and Rojesh (6 not out) were key contributors in TCMDC's successful run chase.
Earlier, Thomson claimed 2 scalps and Valinda took 1 for TCMDC.
YPHUC thrashed SCCC by 9 wickets in the day's other match played at Lairenjam Public Ground.
The YPHUC boys forced SCCC to 46 for 9 in 16.1 overs and knocked off the target in 4 overs, losing 1 wicket in the chase.
Birbal was the chief architect of SCCC's batting collapse, taking 6 wickets in his 5-over spell.
Eshwor, Price and Anderson each bagged 1 wicket.
In the chase, Sunny (11 not out) and Birball (5 not) guided YPHUC to victory after Prasad got dismissed for 4 .
