Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy : All rounder Nikhil guides PTCC to first win; Paras Sharma hits 139 to give SHADOW second victory

Ch Nikhil produced an all round performance to guide PTCC-Patsoi Part III to a 76 run victory over Al-Ameen-Lilong as Paras Sharma hit an 85-ball 135 to hand SHADOW-Thangmeiband Kabrambam Leikai a huge 323 run victory over SCCC-Singjamei Thongam Leikai in the ongoing 4th MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy.
In the Group A match staged at Model Hr Sec School and Oriental College ground, PTCC opened their winning account after two losses as they racked up 174 runs for 8 wickets before restricting Al-Ameen to 98 for the 76 run victory.

Ch Nikhil topscored for PTCC adding 77 runs and N Dhirendra Kishore added 31 runs to help PTCC post 174 runs after being put in to bat first.
The innings saw Rashid Ahamed picked three wickets for 36 runs and TM Aarish picked 2 wickets for 26 runs.
In reply, Al-Ameen suffered a tough time facing brilliant bowling performances from L Anao (4/17), M Karnajit (3/18) and Ch Nikhil (2/12) and eventually got bundled out for 98 runs in 25.4 overs.
Nikhil was eventually adjudged man of the match.
In another Group A match staged at Public Ground Khangabok Part III, Cherapur, AKSDO cruised to third straight victory by defeating Model Club by 3 wickets.
AKSDO opted to bowl first and skittled out Model Club-Chingamakha for 51 runs within 15.4 overs and then chased down the target in 17.5 overs with three wickets left to spare.
Model Club had a disastrous outing today as 7 batters including both the openers were sent back to pavilion without adding any score with Kaiku (4/7 in 3.4 overs) and Nungshiba (3/5 in 2 overs) wreaking havoc.
Only Biyon Naorem was able to secure a significant 32 off 36 balls.
In reply, Bisal (4/7) and Biyon (3/13) did their best to restrict AKSDO but the meagre target they set proved costly.
Sanayai was the highest run getter for AKSDO with 15 runs.
S Kaiku of AKSDO who enjoyed a four wicket haul was adjudged man of the match.
Elsewhere at Lairenjam Public Ground, Blue Hawk-Khurai posted a second straight win with a 6 wicket thrashing of RULE-Meitram Makha Leikai.
Rex (4/4) and Nepolian (2/2) helped Blue Hawk bowl out RULE for 54 who are yet to register a point from three games.
7 RULE batters went out on duck and only Indrakumar (20 off) was the double digit scorer as RULE amassed 54 runs in 22.4 overs.
In reply, it took 30 extras and unbeaten 13 from Binson for the Khurai side to post a winning 57 in 13.4 overs.
Indrakumar (2/28) and Nongpoknganba (2/28) of RULE picked two wickets each in a lost cause.
Rex who enjoyed a four wicket haul was adjudged man of the match.
Meanwhile at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Paras Sharma shone with a masterful knock of 85-ball 139 and Nirmal struck a 34-ball 87 to help SHADOW pile up a humongous 343 .
Chasing 344 for the win, SCCC who have suffered two straight losses earlier succumbed at 20 runs within 11 overs as none of the batter managed to cross 4-run mark while 6 went out on duck as Goshan enjoyed a five wicket haul conceding only 8 runs in 5 overs and Devraj (2/10) and Zaid Zafri (2/0) shared two wickets.
Earlier in SHADOW's innings, Ranjan picked three wickets (3/45) and Tomthin scalped twice (2/47) .
Paras who blazed off 139 off 85 balls was adjudged man of the match.
