Film fraternity to join 'Ereipak Kanba Meeyamgi Khongchat'

Imphal, June 05 2026: Members of the film fraternity will participate in the Ereipak Kanba Meeyamgi Khongchat to be held in Imphal on June 8, organised by Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), Kangleipak, an umbrella body of 14 civil society groups.

The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Film Forum Manipur vice chairman-I N Surjitkanta (BB Surjit) at the Forum's Lamphel office.

To ensure wider participation and make the march impactful, film shoots across the State will be suspended for the day.

Artistes from the 12 constituent guilds/associations of Film Forum Manipur and others from the State film industry will join the march.

The rally will start at 10 am from Tiddim Ground, Kwakeithel, and conclude at Thau Ground, Thangmeiband, where a public meeting will also be held.
