On the standard of football in india in the global context, he stressed on the need to play with coordination and understanding among the players as skill alone will not be able to overcome the rival team.
He further pointed out lack of concentration while directing the ball and inability to assess strength of the opponents as the bane of Indian football at the international level and hinted on the need for service of experienced coaches to improve standard of football in the country.
Alderson also suggested that organising football league competitions at the grassroots level will be able to lift standard of Indian football as such a system had already been put in place in England, a force to reckon with in the international arena.
