Army rescues accident survivor

Imphal, October 05 2023:
Personnel of 107th Infantry Battalion of the Indian Army rescued an injured co-driver of a cement laden truck, which met with an accident and fell into a gorge in Kambiron area of Milestone 142 near Barak Bridge on National Highway 37 on Thursday.
Source said that the truck fell into a 50 feet deep gorge.
Upon receiving information, personnel of 107th Infantry Battalion rushed there and rescued co-driver Santosh Kumar from the gorge.
After giving first aid, he was evacuated to Nungba health centre.
The driver of the truck managed to jump out of the truck and reported the road accident to Nungba police station.
