Asian Games medallist Roshibina feted

Imphal, October 05 2023:
Naorem Roshibina, who won silver medal in the women's 60 kg Wushu Sanda final in the Asian Games 2023 at Hangzhou, China was welcomed on her arrival at Imphal International Airport by SAI NERC & NCOE officials and Wushu players.
She was later felicitated with presentation of memento and stole during a felicitation programme held at SAI NERC, Takyel Speaking to media persons at the programme, N Roshibina confided that she was able to win the medal and bring laurels for the state due to the tremendous support of her family members, especially her father N Damu, who even sold his farmland to support her, and her coaches.
She also dedicated her medal to all who are upholding interest of Manipur and its people while regretting that she could not final the final bout due to injury.
The function was also attended by Directorate of Youth Affairs and Sports director T Phulen Meitei, SAI STC, Khuman Lampak in-charge deputy director L Ibomcha, SAI STC, Utlou in-charge Kh Lokendro, SAI NCOE retired chief coach T Nilamani, SAI NERC assistant director Laijing L Maring and Shivam Yadav as presidium members.
