Kakching, December 16 2023:
Peace & Relief Committee, Wabagai has appealed to the state government to pay special attention to people, who have been displaced from their native villages owing to the ongoing ethnic strife and are currently taking shelter in relief camps, at the time of medical emergency.
The Committee conducted religious ceremony (Lanna Thouram) of Thingnam Manitombi at the Wabagai Higher Secondary School relief camp on Saturday.
Manitombi fled from Chakpikarong in Chandel district after the violence broke out on May 3 and took shelter at the relief camp but succumbed to an ailment as he could not afford treatment.
