Imphal, December 16 2023:
The State unit of Shiv Sena has asked why the BJP Government is still not expelling its seven Kuki MLAs (including two Ministers) who openly endorse the demand to disintegrate Manipur.
Speaking to the media at Babupara today, president of Shiv Sena, Manipur Moirangthem Tombi claimed that all the 10 Kuki MLAs, seven belonging to the ruling BJP, have been meeting the legislators of Mizoram to realise their dream of separate administration despite taking an oath to safeguard Manipur.
Tombi asserted that Mizoram Government shouldn't interfere in the internal matters of Manipur.
The BJP Government at the Centre and the State should take the situation in Manipur and youth and students wanting to take up arms to protect Manipur very seriously, M Tombi advised.
He, on the other hand, appealed to people including hill and valley based insurgent groups to play the central role in safeguarding Manipur.
Saying that there are many Meeteis who are presumed death after they went missing and the last rites of some of the missing Meeteis were held in the absence of their bodies, Tombi expressed discontent over the Government not able to trace and retrieve even a piece of bone of the missing Meeteis.
He also claimed that many sections of Meeteis have been advocating peace but the same cannot be seen from any of the Kuki based organisations.
