Imphal, June 24 2012: Haochong Village Authority, Haochong Women Society, and Haochong Youth Club have clarified that Haochong villagers were neither involved in providing information about the presence of any UG group to another nor invited any UG group to come to the village.

A joint statement issued by the VA, WS and YC of Haochong village said the VA is not responsible for the detention of three injured cadres and the three deceased cadres at Haochong village after an armed clash that occurred at the village recently .

The statement further urged concerned UG groups to clarify about the incident so as to dismiss misunderstanding between the UG groups and the public.
