Imphal, September 22 2026: The Delhi Meetei Coordinating Committee has vehemently condemned the killing of NK Wiphenbou, a 17-year-old minor, in an ambush by suspected Kuki militants in Tamenglong district yesterday.

Expressing solidarity with the bereaved family members, the DMCC, in a statement, called for decisive actions from the Government to deliver justice.

It urged the Government of India to ensure Kuki insurgent groups' adherence to SoO ground rules, and take legal action for any violations observed.

"The cycle of violence in Manipur must end.

Every young life lost is a loss to the future of Manipur," it added.
