AMESCO extends Gaan Ngai greeting

Imphal, January 22 2024: All Manipur Ethnical Socio-Cultural Organisation (AMESCO) has extended greetings to the Kabui brethren on the arrival of Gaan Ngai, the grandest festivals.

In a release, AMESCO lauded State Level Gaan Ngai Celebration Committee, Zeliangrong Union and Zeliangrong Cultural Council for their decision to limit this year's festival to conduct of only traditional rituals in view of the present unrest situation in the state.

The bond of love among the indigenes is becoming clearer everyday with the low-key celebration and performing only the essential rituals of their annual festivals by different indigenous communities, it added.
