35th State Level Sub-Junior Boys and Girls Kabaddi Championships begin

Imphal, January 22 2024:
The 35th edition of the Sub-Junior Boys and Girls State Level Kabaddi Championships kicked off today at Lilong Haoreibi Makha Leikai Idgah Ground under the aegis of the Manipur State Kabaddi Association.
The opening day of the championships saw CCYPAC-Chingkham Lilong and AMDASCAM-Atoukhong securing two wins to inch towards the semi-finals as AMDASCAM sealed the girls title.
AMDASCAM kicked off the sub-junior boys' tournament (Group A) with a 44-36 win over VETO-Laphupat Tera before pulling off a 45-20 win over HYO-Heirok.

In another Group A match, VETO defeated HYO by 65-36 points to finish Group runners and secure a place in the semi-finals.
CCYPAC, meanwhile, notched up a 40-35 win over HIDA-Lilong Mayai Lambi for their first win in the Group B league competition before pulling off a 36-16 win over ICDF- Irong Chesaba for the second win.
In another Group B, WSWC-Wabagai went down 32-46 in the hands of ICDF.
WSWC, however, pulled off a 40-32 win over HODA to keep their semi-final hopes alive.
Meanwhile in the sub-junior girls competition (Super League), CARD-Wabagai suffered a 24-45 win over MUC-Imphal East before AMDASCAM defeated CARD 40-15 and MUC 41-19 to emerge champions.
