Imphal, September 26 2024: Prayers and oblations were offered at Ideal Girls College, Akampat Relief Camp in keeping with the long-observed ritual of Langban Heisoi Katpa (Tarpan) today.

The ceremony was organised by the Committee on Protection of Meetei Victims (COPMeV) Moreh for the residents of the relief camp who fled from their homes in Churachandpur, Moreh etc to give them an opportunity to pay their respects to their ancestors and martyrs of the Manipur conflict.

Aside from the relief camp inmates, volunteers of COPMeV also partook in the ritual.
