Imphal, May 15 2021: Dr Richard of Department of Surgery, JNIMS succumbed to COVID-19 at the hospital at about 7.45 pm on Saturday.

As per information received by the press, Dr Richard hailed from Senapati district and he was a senior resident at the department of surgery, JNIMS.

Before his demise, Dr Richard was undergoing treatment at dedicated Covid ward of the hospital for the past five days.

He succumbed to the virus despite being given oxygen support after his health condition deteriorated.
