Number of refugees surge to 1383 in Kamjong

Imphal, November 29 2023:
The number of Myanmar Nationals fleeing the neighbouring country and seeking refuge at Kamjong district has surged to 1,383 .
Today, as many as 375 Myanmar Nationals crossed the porous border and sought shelter in the district, said a highly placed source in the Government.
A total of 368 Myanmar Nationals including 202 newly arrived are taking shelter at Phaikoh village while Humin Thana is sheltering around 485 refugees.
Around 530 including 173 newly arrived Myanmar Nationals are taking shelter at Namlee, Wanglee and Kasom Khullen sub-division.
Biometrics of 593 Myanmar Nationals have been recorded, said the
