Assam Rifles hands over 30 Myanmar army men

Imphal, November 29 2023:
Around 30 personnel of Myanmar army, who had crossed over to the Indian side after an onslaught by Chinland Defence Force (CDF), were handed over to Tamu army by 5 Assam Rifles on Wednesday.
As per a report, the 30 personnel of the military junta crossed over to Mizoram over the past few days after being attacked by CDF.
All-30 personnel including four injured were brought from Mizoram to the Key Location Point (KLP) camp of 5AR in two helicopters on Wednesday.
A 5 AR team later handed over the Myanmar personnel to Tamu army around 2.30 pm.
Mention may be made here that CDF used drones to attack the camp of 304 Battalion of the Myanmar army, located next to Mizoram on Myanmar's side on November 19.Of the 37 personnel stationed in the camp, seven were killed and four sustained injuries.
The remaining 30 personnel including the four injured abandoned the camp and fled to Mizoram.
