Imphal, April 12 2015 : Labourers engaged in a bailey bridge construction at Loushangkhong in Imphal East have reportedly lodged a complaint with the DGP of Manipur over alleged frequent harassment meted out to them by personnel of Lamlai Police Station.

In a written complaint to DGP Shahid Ahmad, it was pointed out that Sub-Inspector Nabakanta of Lamlai Police has been regularly arresting and releasing the labourers after being harassed in the past few days, one of the labourers named Khaidem Indrakumkumar told media at the Press Club here on Saturday.

The DGP has been requested to take action against the police officials in connection with the incident, he said.
