JCILP curfew reaffirms hill-valley divide: ATML
Source: The Sangai Express
Imphal, May 10 2016:
The All Tribal Movement Lamka (ATML) has
claimed that the 42 hours State-wide public cur-
few imposed by JCILPS on May 5 was
effective only in the four valley districts of
Manipur and Jiribam.
The tribal inhabited ar-
eas carried on with their daily lives oblivious of
the curfew, it stated.
The contrasting life witnessed in the hills
and valley during the course of JCILPS
public curfew is just one glaring example of
the hill-valley divide which is seen to be
widening with each passing day, ATML
stated.
