Imphal, October 07 2016: Coalition Against Drugs & Alcohol, Thoubal District Committee and CADA, Kairembikhok seized 40 litres of liquor at Eepukom Road, near Kairembikhok Salungpham Heirok.

The liquor was seized at around 4 am following a report of transportation of liquor to and fro the area.

The seized liquor was later destroyed by volunteers of Kairembikhok Students' Club and Kairembikhok Meira Paibi Lup.

CADA stated that the drive was initiated as part of its continuous campaign against drugs and alcohol.

It also said that intense drive will be launched soon against people who offer such inebriated substances as a means to lure more voters in the upcoming Assembly election.
