Imphal, September 26 2024: The indefinite total shutdown imposed by Tousem based student organisations and CSOs in Tousem sub-division including sections of NH-37 has been lifted temporarily with immediate effect.

The total shutdown imposed since September 25 has been lifted after an agreement was reached today between the CSOs comprising RNCM-Ta-menglong Zone, ZNCM, TASO, THSU, ZSOM and CSV) and the DC, Tameng-long.

According to the agreement, the Tousem SDO who is currently functioning from Tamenglong district headquarters will start functioning at Tousem sub- divisional headquarters on or before November 10, 2024 .
