Urging all elected representatives to spell out their positions regarding the demand for enactment of a Constitutional safeguard for protection of indigenous peoples of the land , members of JCILPS Women Wing today marched to the private residence of one Minister and two MLAs.
The women activists led by JCILPS Women Wing convenor Thongam Apabi marched to the Chingamakha residence of Forest and Environment Minister Irengbam Hemochandra.
They later went to the residence of MLA Thongam Bishwajit at Ningomthong and MLA Karam Shyam at Chajing.
They shouted slogans like “ILPS must be enforced in Manipur”, “Manipur is great” etc at the residences of the Minister and the MLAs.
Even as Hemochandra and Bishwajit were not present at their residences, the women activists asked their family members to convey to the Minister and the MLA that they should spell out their positions regarding the popular demand.
