Imphal, April 06 2016: As in other parts of country, the 37th foundation day of BJP was celebrated at all the 60 Assembly segments of the State today.

Speaking at the main function held at Nityaipat Chuthek office, BJP Manipur in-charge Prahlad Singh Patel said that all the party workers must never forget that in BJP, party is 'bigger' than individuals and the motherland is more important than the party.

Some people are eager to join BJP to gain advantage in power politics while some people wish to join the party fold as they like BJP's ideology, he said.

In politics, dedication to the service of the people is very important, Patel said.

Party's foundation day was celebrated in all the 60 Assembly segments of the State today as it is one of the six most important calendar activities of the party, he said.

BJP Manipur Pradesh President Th Chaoba, MLAs Kh Joykishan and Th Bishwajit, party executives and workers also attended the function.

In Tamenglong district, the foundation day was celebrated with BJP State vice-president Adim Panmei as the chief guest at Longmai (Noney) community hall.

Former MLA Khangthuanang Panmei was the president of the function.

In his speech, Adim Panmei said that NDA Government at the Centre is putting in its best effort to solve the Naga issue under the supervision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Urging the people not to worry about party ticket, Adim Panmei said that those leaders who work with dedication for the people would automatically get party tickets.

Village chiefs and party workers took part in the function.

The 36th foundation day of BJP was also celebrated at Singjamei Mayengbam Leikai Samurailatpam Mandap.

BJP State president Th Chaoba, social worker Khumanthem Akendrajit, Thokchom Tomba, Yengkhom Loken, Khundrakpam Saratchandra, S Dwijamani Sharma, Akoijam Iboyaima, Moirangthem Biren and Ngangbam Robert attended the function as presidium members.

Speaking at the function organised by BJP Singjamei Mandal, Th Chaoba said that BJP was established on April 6, 1980 .

Saying that BJP is the largest political party in the world, Chaoba said that people must support the party which has over 11 crore members.

Singjamei Mandal also celebrated the day at the residence of Leishangbam Lokeshore at Singjamei Oinam Thingel.

BJP executive member Yumnam Khemchand spoke on the origin and ideology of the party at the function.

BJP Uripok Mandal celebrated the day at Sorbol Thingel community hall.

BJP State former president M Bhorot, T Anand, Uripok Mandal president Punachandra Meitei, IMC Ward No 6 Councillor Ph Pamishri Uripok Ward No 5 Member N Santosh attended the function as presidium members.

The day was also celebrated at Irong Chesaba under Wabagai AC in Thoubal district.

BJP Minority Morcha president Md Nazir Hussain, vice-president Md Habibur Rahman, Md Abdul Latif and Treasurer Md Zakir Hussain attended the function as presidium members.
