CRPF units provide water pipes, tanks

86 Battalion CRPF on Thursday conducted a civic action programme at Charoipantongba Part-II under Noney district under the supervision of its commandant Mohamand Yusuf.
During the programme, PVC water supply pipes were provided to needy villagers in response to their request to the commandant to mitigate severe water shortage during the winter season.
Chief guest of the function, Mohamand Yusuf expressed his gratitude to the villagers and stated' that the distribution of PVC water Supply pipes was done with an aim to help and develop the village and all the people living in Charoipantongba Part-II village, as well as to create an atmosphere of goodwill and positive relationship with the people in the village.
Meanwhile, on October 25, 143 Bn CRPF distributed water storage tanks to the underprivileged villagers of Nungba and Borongdai at Marylane Nungba village, Noney district.
K Sonny Singh, second-in-command 143 Bn CRPF, attended the event and handed over the water storage tanks in the presence of Dr Narendra Kumar, CMO (SG) and village chairmen of Nungba and Borongdai-Gaibikeng Kamei and Nathanile Gangmei, respectively.
During his speech, K Sonny explained that under the civic action programme, 143 Bn has been trying to address the needs and requirements of the locals.
The people received the water storage tanks with joy and thanked the 143 Bn CRPF for providing them a means to support their family economically, and the local people of the area also expressed happiness with the functioning of 143 Bn CRPF and thanked them for conducting such activities under the civic action programme, said, the CRPF 143 Bn in a press release.
