Assam Rifles conducts lecture on joining Indian Army

Assam Rifles organised a comprehensive lecture on joining the Indian Army at Paradise English School in Thoubal district on Sunday to provide students with invaluable insights into various avenues for career in the Indian Army and inspire and guide them towards serving the country.
The speaker from Assam Rifles elaborated on the diverse entry routes available for commissioning as an officer in the Indian Army, including the National Defence Academy (NDA), Indian Military Academy (IMA), Officers' Training Academy (OTA), and Technical Entry Scheme (TES).
Along with emphasising on the significance of academic excellence, physical fitness, and leadership qualities, the students were encouraged to strive for excellence in all spheres of life.
The lecture underscored the exceptional training facilities offered at esteemed institutions such as the NDA in Khadakwasla, IMA in Dehradun, and OTA in Chennai.
Additionally, it highlighted the importance of discipline, camaraderie, and unwavering dedication in the life of an Army officer.
The engaging and informative session not only provided students with a deeper understanding of the entry schemes and training academies but also inspired them to contemplate a fulfilling career in the Indian Army, said an AR statement, adding that by nurturing a sense of responsibility towards the defence and security of the nation, the lecture aimed to motivate the youth to contribute meaningfully to the service of the country.
