Literature promotion tour from Sept 29

Imphal, September 26 2024: Ahead of its 20th foundation day, Sahitya Thoupang Lup (SATHOULUP) would conduct a three-day tour to Durgapur in West Bengal from September 29 to promote Manipuri language and literature.

In a release, SATHOULUP secretary Mayanglambam Uttamkumar informed that several programmes and activities including Bahgla Manipuri poetry festival would be conducted as a part of International Translation Day by joining hands with Tristoop Prakashoni, West Bengal during the tour for promotion of Manipuri literature and language outside the state.

Poet, critic and translator Brajakumar Sarkar would also be conferred the Thiyam Ibochoubi National Award during the programme, he added.
