Medical camp conducted at Bishnupur relief camp

Bishnupur, August 19 2023:
Bishnupur Apunba Tengbang Lup in collaboration with Indian Medical Association, Manipur state branch and Trained Nurses Association of India, Manipur state branch conducted a medical camp in relief camp set up at Bishnupur district Old mini Secretariat Complex, on Saturday.
The medical camp was attended by YAS minister Govindash Konthoujam, SDO Bishnupur L Rishikanta, Indian Medical Association Manipur state branch president Dr R K Lenin, former president Dr Y Mohen, Dr L Shyamkumar and secretary Dr James Elangbam, Trained Nurses Association of India Manipur state branch president N Tangbi Devi among others.
Delivering his speech, minister Govindash Konthoujam stated that the state as well as the central government is working on to resolve the on going conflict and restore normalcy at the earliest.
He assured that vocational training will be provided to the inmates so as to generate income and also to provide all possible assistance through K Go-jendro Trust.
Dr RK Lenin urged the inmates to remain strong both in mind and body while also advising them to learn new and productive skills through vocational course so as to earn their livelihood.
Apart from screening and medical examination of skin, paediatric, medicine, eye, surgery and psychiatric being provided in the medical camp, MGNREGA job card were also distributed to 86 inmates.
