Interfaith forum to hold mass prayer today

Interfaith Forum for Peace and Harmony, Manipur, would be holding an interfaith mass prayer programme with candle lights on Thursday at ISKCON Temple complex, Sangaiprou, Imphal West.
The event aims to bring together leaders from vari-.
ous religious communities, including Hindu, Christian, Islam, Sanamahi, and Ting-kao Ragwang Chapriak, to pray for an end to the ongoing violence in the state.
Leaders representing these diverse faiths will take turns to offer prayers for several important aspects.* These include seeking an end to the violence, praying for the souls of those who lost their lives, healing the hundreds who suffered the loss of loved ones, and the recovery of the injured.
They will also pray for the safety, security, and wellbeing of the thousands of displaced individuals living in relief camps across the hills and valley, as well as those who sought refuge in other states to protect their families.
The interfaith prayers will commence at 3.30 pm at ISKCON Temple, and at least 200 individuals from various religious and faith communities in the state, including Hindu Gauriya Vaishnavas, Sanamahi, Christian, Islam, Tingkao Ragwang Chapriak, Jains, Buddhists, Divine Life Society, Brahmakumaris, Art of Living, and others, are expected to be present at the prayer.
Following the prayers, a candlelight ceremony will take place at 5.30 pm within ISKCON Temple campus.
The forum appealed to all concerned citizens of the state and throughout India to join the mass prayer and candlelight observance from their respective locations.
