AR rescues, conducts medical camp

Imphal, July 19 2023:
Under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South), troopers of Assam Rifles rescued six stranded non-tribal civilians from Sajik Tampak in Chandel district on Wednesday.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the rescued civilians including two women and three children sheltered at Battalion Headquarters, Sajik Tampak since May 31 were safely taken to Sugnu on Wednesday.
On the other hand, Assam Rifles organised an interaction programme with the villagers alongside a medical camp at Phougakchao Ikhai Awang Leikai in Bishnupur district, on Monday.
As part of the programme, relief materials were also distributed and 55 individuals including 17 men and 38 women screened for medical treatment, the PRO informed.
Meanwhile, Assam Rifles provided lifesaving medical assistance to one Kumar Pan-dey (45) of Nabil Nepali Basti in Churachandpur district, who was bitten by snake on the foot.
