Kangpokpi prays for success of SA

Kangpokpi, August 03 2023:
Marking the 90 days of the Manipur mayhem, Kuki-Zo people across Kangpokpi district under the aegis of Kangpokpi District Tribal Churches Leaders' Fellowship on Thursday prayed for materialisation of the Separate Administration demand at the earliest.
The mass prayer service held at Brig M Thomas ground, here was joined by various Kuki-Zo leaders, church leaders, intellectuals, civil society organisations leaders, social workers, etc.
Among others, the main prayer point according to the Leaders' Fellowship was for the success of the Kuki-Zo people's demand, i.e., separate administration at the earliest.
Kuki Inpi Manipur president Ch Ajang Khongsai, CoTU vice chairman Lunthang Haokip, human rights activist Dr S Chongloi, Kuki Women Organisation for Human Rights president Hahat Touthang and other prominent leaders spoke on the occasion.
At least three sessions were held during the five-hour-long mass prayer event.
Crowd contribution in cash and kind was also held for the cause of the Kuki-Zo people.
According to Dr V Sitlhou of the Leaders' Fellowship, they prayed for divine protection, central government protection, and especially for solution in the form of separate administration for the Kuki-Zo people.
He also urged churches across the globe to help the Kuki-Zo people through prayers in such trying times.
The names and photos of the Kuki-Zo martyrs in the ongoing violence were also put up for the Kuki-Zo people to pay their tribute and honour.
