Gearing up for the upcoming 2014 general election, BJP Manipur state unit general secretary, Asnikumar Singh, who is currently camping in Delhi said BJP would cross over 200 mark and form the next Government in the centre.
Subsequently Congress would be thrown out of Manipur he told The Sangai Express today.
A team of six members from the State unit are attending a closed door workshop session on media and technology today and tomorrow.
The BJP election campaign committee chairperson and PM candidate Narendra Modi is one of the speakers along with other key national BJP leaders.
During the two day meet, candidates for the Outer and Inner Manipur parliamentary constituencies are likely to be finalized.
Potential and prospective names include former Minister Prof Gangumei Kamei ( Outer) and other intellectuals with clean image and integrity are in the list, said Ashinimukar, the state BJP general secretary.
Accusing the Congress for corruption, crime and poor governance in Manipur where the ruling State Government could not even construct an "all weather" National Highway of a mere 22 Kms.
in 12 long years, Ashinikumar asserted the State Congress is a failed government.
When the PDS is non functional and failed to reach the deserving poor people, how can the Food Security Bill be a reality in Manipur, he argued.
A Northeast vision document is being prepared and it would be brought out before the 2014 election.
The state unit BJP is for a holistic approach, all sentiments would be taken into account in the interest of the state and the nation.
"Manipur is very much part of India and though Manipur is a non revenue / resource state we have human talents and potential which would be capitalized upon", stated Ashinikumar, who is positive of wining the next State Assembly seat from Thanga Constituency.
Ashinikumar reiterated that Congress both at the Centre and State are clouded with a "galaxy of scams" which he said is a "political blunder".
"The nation deserves a change, we will form the next Government, said Ashinikumar confidently.
On the question of alliances in the state, he said the party is open for allied forces with non congress party.
He said that the accusation of BJP as an anti-Christian or anti-Muslim is totally baseless.
