Relief materials, pension cards distributed to IDPs

Imphal, December 23 2023:
Parish Pastoral Council, Holy Redeemer Parish and Catholic School Canchipur distributed relief materials to the displaced people living in Urup Minority OBC Girls Hostel relief camp in relation with Christmas and New Years' festivals on Saturday.
Members the institutions also bought products made by the inmates of the relief camp during their visit.
Keirao MLA Lourembam Rameshwar;.Holy Redeemer Parish Canchipur's parish priest and Catholic School Canchipur principal reverend father Kholi Emmanuel, Former member of ADC Sadar Hills, Kangpokpi Dr M Dominique Maring; and representatives of St Peter's Church, Phunal Maring Khunjao, St Michael Church, Phunal Khunnou, St Thomas Church Yaipharok, St George Church Taoramphai, Christ The King Church Sandangsenba Maring visited the relief camp and interacted with the inmates.
They shared the hardships facing by the displaced people and conveyed wishes for restoration of peace and normalcy so that the displaced families could resettle in their own homes.
MLA Rameshwar thanked the Christian institutions for their assistance towards the displaced persons.
On the other hand, Thanga MLA Tongbram Robindro distributed pension cards to 12 widows and 58 elder persons under Chief Minister's Widow Pension Scheme (CMWPS) and Manipur Old Age Pension Scheme (MOAPS), in a function organised by district social welfare office, Bishnupur at Moirang Khunou Makha Leikai Relief Camp on Saturday.
